Shimmery Shimmery

A little bit of this... a little bit of that...

We took the same pattern from the 'ladder' of the necklace and made them into earrings. It looks fabulous together. Enjoy!

A new twist

Here the piece is wired as well as strung for the neck portion. This was done so it would lay flat. The irony on this process is that the design took a turn in a different direction. This was not the intention of the originally drawn designed. This piece has movement w the added pearls at the bottom and the sun burst effect with the dangle 'rays' and additional loose tri dangles at the focal point. It is looking great on the client. Enjoy!

Do the flip - or not

The client came up with a great idea - but the dangle crystals back to back thus giving a two sided double color choice as well as avoiding the flipping possibilities when being worn. Also contemplating accompanying jewelry pieces - Enjoy!

Lets twist 'er' up

The lay out of the beads are agreed upon, everything is lining up perfectly. Now it is time to wire the individual sets with a double wrapped loop - great strength yet beautiful soft in pinks and purples. Enjoy!!

To Dangle or not to Dangle

Discerning whether or not to put dangles in and to what degree. http://ow.ly/i/3ivNy Again this is all temporarily wired and strung. All Swavorski crystals are used in this piece thus far. Enjoy!

Keep working at it

I did not start taking pictures at the very beginning but the process took time commencing w drawings, measuring and matching colors. Then putting various shaped crystals together to make a good fit but in length and in texture. This was wired/strung and re-wired and re-strung a multitude of times to get it perfect. Enjoy!

Dah Da!! It's finish and over the pond!

Happy Fall everyone - and I am sorry that I forgot to post yesterday w the finished art work... sorry - crazy day got away from me. :/ Here is the final piece completely put together... this special piece was made for my pen pal in England to whom we have been writing since 1974. I was beyond excited to give it to her when I met up with Debbie and her family in August. Great memories! Enjoy!!

The final touch

Happy Fall Day - we are on the final working image of our piece... I guess you have figured out what it is - tomorrow I will share why it is...lol This photo shows the final steps of the closure hardware, all made by hand w exception of the lobster clasp. All the metal bars have also been embossed, the chain is for wrist variation and of course our signature tag and heart! Good Morning AG family - we are almost done with our process. Just finishing up the linking as you can see there are two directions of attaching the stainless steel links so the little squares don't flip. Enjoy!

Time to punch you out!

Links are cut, twisted, pounded and securely closed. Now I need to measure and mark all the little squares for their holes to fit the wire links into. I have already check to insure that the diameter of the wire will nicely but snugly fit in pre-determined hole size. Now to punch out 30+ little holes! Whew!! Hawk eyes are needed in this process. Enjoy!

Getting Wired!

Now that the center piece is done w/ holes on the side to begin the linking process. I figured out the wiring design I wanted that would look nice but also be flexible; making 30 or more linking components. Enjoy!

Stamp it all out!

I get a little focused when working so I don't have images of stamping out the lettering or riveting the copper and brass piece together. But here is is lettered and riveted. The words say US 1974 England. The trick is to get the lettering centered, in this case and the rivets tight! Enjoy!

Look at yourself!

The process today was to get a mirror finish on the copper. So when a person looked onto the piece they would see their own reflection (explanation later). I did not get pictures of the sanding and buffing needed to get the mirrored surface. It is a multi layer processing - 20 step process. BUT I got it! Enjoy!

Lay it all out

In the Buff - ing stage

Now that the sides are filed and buffed. (Trust me after sanding the sides your hands are fairly roughed up) Now you sand and buff the surfaces of the medallions to make them extremely smoothly and shiny on raised texture. Sanding and buffing take a bit of time, but well worth the outcome. Enjoy! www.AgapeGifts.org

Tedious work begins....

the cool touch of pearls... I love it!

A nice cool pearl bracelet... one that is cool to the touch when put on then takes on the wear's body temperature (sign of real pearls). Here is a very special rosary bracelet. ALL the components to this bracelet were originally design and personally created. The stones represent the Confirmandi's birth month; St. Nicholas is confirmation name; the image & writing (his handwriting) a personal note to his grandmother, the sponsor. Beautiful piece.
