Time to Celebrate!

We will begin celebrating March with wine toppers - sounds like Top of the Morn'g to Ya!
This gold leashed wine topper is make of cork and polymer with decoration of metal confetti.  Each metal confetti  of copper or brass was hand placed. The entire topper is then sealed for durability. It was a great hit at November's Art show!

SURPRISE!!!!

                                                Three different elements - all in one beautiful pin.
The drawing is an original inspired by gifts given to me from my pen pal in England when we visited last year. The metal is embossed copper with key images - keys to our hearts from over the pond! We have been corresponding for a very long time! And the back is a polymer to set the pin w a signiture to denote the drawing is an Laura Langlois original and AG stamp to brand it is an Ag design.
This piece was given as a gift to a friend who just found out she has cancer... letting her know angels are watching over her (and yes she is at CTCA!). There are other pieces in this format at the show this year...

Two for one... projects

While I was creating a bracelet for my friend I simutaneously worked on finger rosaries as well to give to each of the daughters (and wife)... here the metal pieces are cut out and ready for filing and sanding.

In the Buff - ing stage

Now that the sides are filed and buffed. (Trust me after sanding the sides your hands are fairly roughed up) Now you sand and buff the surfaces of the medallions to make them extremely smoothly and shiny on raised texture. Sanding and buffing take a bit of time, but well worth the outcome. Enjoy! www.AgapeGifts.org

Tedious work begins....

Today’s piece is a beverage charm set. This set is made with nickel and brass sheet metal, hand punched into the washer shape. Gorgeous Rosary Bracelet

Today’s piece is a rosary bracelet. This rosary bracelet was just made yesterday, actually. It features Chinese crystals in light pink, champagne red, and amber. The Hail Mary beads are the amber crystals, and the Our Father beads are the copper wrapped larger ember beads. The white spacers separating each of the Hail Mary beads are made of buffalo bone. The base of this piece is a large nickel circle, hand punched from nickel sheet metal. The smaller ring on the bottom is textured copper, hand cut from a textured sheet of copper. Chain Maille Watch

Today’s piece is a watch. This watch is made of sterling silver chain-maille. Unlike normal watches worn on the wrist, this watch makes a hook to wrap on any object; purse handle, belt loop, computer bag, jacket, or any other object with a loop.
