happy 12 12 12 - once in a life time day for the next 100 years!! They should call this day donut day - a dozen donuts seems to fit the date!!! Thought we would continue w the bracelet theme this week. This bracelet was knitted w size 0 needles, made into rings, that went around the hand cut metal discs; it is a bracelet in that it has a stretch with the knitted metallic yarn attached to the copper 'O's giving a criss cross of direction - a really cool piece that fits snuggly. Hand knitted metallic yarn with double copper disk riveted together. This bracelet cuff is very flexible with a close fit... just beautiful in person! Looks good in the pic too!

Today’s piece: Hand knitted fine silver wire earrings; I hand knitted the 26g fine silver wire w/ #1 knitting needles, (yes my hands hurt afterwards – but worth it). These earrings also required some creative engineering work for the backing, challenge met and the backing works great. I have always dreamed of knitting wire back when I was in university art school, so I guess these earrings are dream come true! This piece is currently not available.
